Description

I saw that :iconaurorafox: did this with her chara, Elijah, and thought I would try one for one of my favorite and most used OC's, Romano.

He's really gone through a butt-load of design and character building, and he's easily one of my favorites as a result. He started off as a minor character, like Damon, but he became more popular and stronger and, as a result, more used.

Name nonwithstanding, can't deny though he had a LOT of inspiration.

Inspirations

~Batman/Bruce Wayne: Right from the beginning, he got inspiration from the Dark Knight. Dark past, hidden strengths, a prodigy of sorts, and also a jack-of-all-trades in skills. Like Batman, too, Romano has a hub of technology in his clinic that is similar to that in the Bat Cave so he can keep track of his crazed patients.

~Iron Man/Tony Stark: I didn't realize how much I subconciously took from this guy until I watched him in the Avenger's movie. Seriously. Romano is something of a playboy and a joker, and is definitely more fun-loving and reskless. In a way, Romano resembles him way more in personality. He also resembles a few of his bad habits, like working too much, drinking, and keeping dangerous issues and problems to himself. Both of them are prodigies in surprising fields; Tony in computer engineering and physics, and Romano in diagonistic and advanced medicine for vamps. Also, if I need some help with dialouge, just watch anything with him and I got something for Roma.

~Ghost Rider: I'm probably the only one that really likes the first Ghost Rider movie, but dammit, I love it, love it, love it. 9w9; And while I didn't take too much from the human Johnny Blaze, I got more from the actual Ghost Rider for Romano's darker persona. One of his first designs in Hunter gear is based off his leather wear. And the his main weapon being a chain? ... Yeah, got it from him.

~Aladdin: Aladdin... What else can I say about 'im? He's a good-hearted and clever person, but not above breaking the law. Never with evil intent, but still... He's a cocky bastard, but still. Also, he sees a way to get out of his current situation, takes it, and even though it doesn't work out like he wanted, he pulled it off as long as he could and tried. I loved all these qualities about him, so they just made themselves known in Romano. 9w9 Also, his badassery in the final battle? Romano gets to do that too. XD

~Agent Seeley Booth (Bones): This man is awesome. Mostly because he's an All American boy without being obnixous. He's a natural social butterfly, athletic, confident, and super protective to the point of being a literal Papa Wolf. With a giant side of badass. Admittedly I had to think on why I had these qualities for Romano to begin with, but once I figured out it was this awesome man, made perfect sense.

~Vash the Stampede (Trigun): Admittedly, I only watched half of this guy's anime last year and haven't read the manga. Nonetheless, this guy's personality and character stuck to me. Including the fact that despite Romano's been hurt by strangers, both human and vamp, he remains hopeful and optimistic others will be better. Another thing I loved and put in is when people he cares about is in danger, he gets extrememly focused and dangerous. Also, Romano's reputation in Spokane, WA, and his rep in Las Vegas as the Neutral Hunter, Blood, is similar to the irony and somewhat inaccurate like Vash's reputation as the "Humanoid Typhoon".

~Batman/Terry McGinnis (Batman Beyond): I love this particular Batman, and in a way, he's a mix of what I like in Bruce Wayne and in Iron man. Serious and dark, but still brash and emotional. An amazing fighter, but also a bit unconvential. Plus, the relationship between him and his teacher, H, is very similar between Terry McGinnis and Bruce. I think this clip here shows where a lot of that came from. Just seeing how Terry takes all the advice given, but adds his own personality and self to it, and still comes out on top is inspirational in a way. Not to mention awesome as hell. If Romano ever got animated, he'd definitely have his or Aladdin's voice.

~Dr. Tommy Oliver (Power Rangers): ...What? I've always been something of the Power Rangers fan since I was little. My favorite seasons are definitely Mighty Morphin' and Dino Thunder. Yes, they're still corny, they're not super original. But dammit, still love it. And my favorite Ranger? Tommy-freaking-Oliver. The scope of his character-building is phenomal. .... I'd say more, but I'd just explode in fangirlish glee all over again. Just try and watch the very first episode of Dino Thunder and see for yourself his growth and badassness.

~Tulio (The Road to Eldorado): An odd choice, but I mostly got this because the relationship between Tulio and Miguel is almost the same as between Romano and Damon. You really just can't have one without the other. He accounts for most of Romano's goofiness and being a planner for the most part.
